Margaret's first day of Fours school

Since Margaret misses the Pre-K deadline by 2 days, she's back in our regular private preschool, in the aptly renamed Fours class. We went to open house on Friday, and she expressed some regret that she couldn't be in the Twos class with her old teachers (last year she was in Young Threes, and her old teachers moved down to the twos this year). But she seems to like the new teachers just fine, and many of last year's kids are returning this year, so she's in a familiar environment. She separated from me this morning like it was the middle of the year, going to the table to work a puzzle, no tears, no clinging, and no hiding. We picked out her outfit last night, and she wore her hair in a ponytail all day (usually she'll take it out after just a few minutes).

I'm so proud of her. She's such a big girl.
