Cesarean Awareness Month

April is Cesarean Awareness Month. Nearly one in 3 babies is now delivered via cesarean section. The World Health Organization says that only 10-15% should be. Maternal mortality is on the rise in this country. The high rate of cesareans has not lowered the infant mortality rate.

ICAN is working to lower the rate of c-sections, increase the rate of VBACs, and generally improve the way birth is treated in this country. Support them if you can.
