Move along, nothing to see here....
A list of Henry's words, for posterity.
Yeah, no, yuck, poop, ball, wall, buckle (sounds like "buck"), book, map, backpack (thanks, Dora), Margaret (sounds like Matat), eyes, Mom, Dad, boo boo, ow, up, uh-oh, shoes (sounds like "shhhss"), socks (sounds like "ock"), milk ("moak"), water ("wa-wa"), car ("ca"), bus, Pooh (as in Winnie the), back (in all of its meanings - he uses it to ask for a backrub, when he's cleaning up, or when he wants something to return to him), there (sounds like "dey"), out (sounds like "aus" - maybe he's German)
Sounds that count as words in a way:
baaa (for sheep, or any farm animal), Ah-ahh (for pants...it's a little song I made up years ago, sung to the Flash Gordon theme - "pants, Ah-ahhh"), choo choo, eep eep (for birds), arf arf, ssss (snake), wooow (meow), and whoa (maybe he's a prodigy of The Fonz)
edited to add: pasta ("pa-ta!"), rock (either an actual rock, or a rocking chair, or just an invitation for me to sit in the rocking chair and nurse him).

1 Comments:
I love the Henry speak! My parents would completely dig him coming to their house asking to go "aus".
You're officially a genius for "Pants! Ahhhhhhhh..."
